Gemma and Chuck met in Florida and so decided to marry here but Chuck’s from Texas and Gemma is from London. They planned his whole event from afar and brought their people from far and wide and still they were probably the most relaxed and fun couple I ever met! I cant describe to you how welcoming and kind all their family and friends were. I felt like a guest more than the photographer!! I wish they didnt live so far away now because I want them to be my friends!

With the holidays and birthdays and spring kicking in and now feeling a little more organized, I’ve finally pulled it together and am having an Open House at the studio! I am really excited!
I’d love for you all to see what a sweet little space and how perfectly located it is. It is in downtown Tallahassee right across the street from the Chain of Parks. The address is 103 North Meridian Street and while you’re there, enjoy a glass of wine, hors d’oeuvres and a bit of relaxing with live music by Frank Graham.
There will be a drawing for portrait sessions, prints, a canvas and great booking discounts. See you soon!!

First and foremost I want to say that this big sister with her veil and pony was everything!! She was sassy and energetic and expressive and I wanted to take her home! Then…I also got to play with her new baby sister and I was officially in love with this family. I think you will fall in love with them too!!

You saw the engagement session of Laci and Andrew here and now it’s time for me to share a few of their wedding photos. This wedding was adorable! The details of their day expressed their personalities which is what I think a wedding should do!
Yes, that is Laci’s grandmother’s home that she has lived in for 50 years.
Yes, that is a quaint little chapel that is Laci’s family church.
Yes, there was a fun silly photo booth.
Yes, that is a Krispy Kreme Goom’s cake.
and OH Yes, that is the bride playing Dance Central.
There is so much more to share but for now….enjoy!

I met Smith’s mother Amy during a maternity shoot while she was here in the US waiting to give birth. She had been living in Germany where her husband is stationed and while he was away doing his duty, she needed to be with her family to welcome Smith. I have been lucky enough to get to photograph him and their family every time they come to the states for a visit.
This time, Smith wore a traditional german outfit and no joke…these were the real deal leather lederhosen. All I kept thinking was ‘whoa, that could cause some serious chafing!’ but regardless…Smith was his usual sweet happy self!

Another beautiful sunny weekend out at Klapp-Phipps Park for the Red Hills Horse Trials. As you may know, I look forward to being there every year for the weather, the excitement, the beautiful horses, the amazing rides and competition and most of all…the funnel cakes and greasy corn dogs!
If you didnt make it this year, put it on your calendar now for next…it’s always mid march and even if you dont ride, it’s fun for everyone. Bring a picnic. Bring your family. Bring your camera!! Here are just a few photographs I snagged from the cross country and stadium jumping events…
